The Koz-man cometh! And he cometh baring machines of war!! From Kozuru‘s Kustom Factory in West-side Osaka in Nishi-kujo come his latest creation – custom rotary machines! Ah… there’s nothing quite like tattoo machine pr0n,… except for maybe posting sexy pictures of it on the Intertubes!

ヴァイスグリップの先っぽは大日本帝国の銭！ボディーは鉄で、チューブのグリップはアルミ！モーターのカバーは虎のモチーフ、昭和レトロのマッチのデザイン！
The vice grip is capped with pre-WW2 Dainipponteikokku coin and the motor is wrapped in antique Japanese matchbook cover! The simple construction is the real point – Iron plate frame and aluminum vice grip.

よまこ先生とキノンねーちゃんがどうやって僕の新しいメッカを紹介してくれるかな？「トップをねらえ！」の科学講座を思い出すわ！もえぇえ！
But how to Kinon and Yomako Sensei feel about introducing this fascinating new Made In Japan mecha? Their lovable expressions say it all!

Dark Visions in Print Exhibition @ Sacred Gallery, NY

ニューヨークのSACRED GALLERY（セークレッド・ギャラリー）でやるグループ展(DARK VISIONS in PRINT)に参加しないかときかれた。
It is my sincerest pleasure to have been invited by Sacred Gallery in New York to participate in their group show, Dark Visions.

今泉版画工房のジョージさんのお陰でなんとなく間に合った！もし、僕が独りで準備しようとしたら絶対無理や！
I must express my sincerest thanks to my good friend George at Imaizumi Editions for all his help and assistance in preparing my work for this show. Without him it would not have been possible!

展覧会の説明（英語だけですみません！！）：
A brief description of the show:

On July 31, 2010 at 7PM, the Sacred Gallery presents “Dark Visions In Print”, a collection of contemporary images based in the macabre. Co-curators Bruce Waldman and Kirsten Flaherty present a series that combines recent works from the most well known artists in the printmaking field, along with new promising young talents. The show challenges to depict the “darker” side of an artistic kaleidoscope of varying visions and techniques in silkscreen, etching, monoprint and other printmaking processes, with the overall intention of celebrating the venerable yet often under-appreciated art of printmaking.

Some of the earliest prints found are expected to have been created around the fifth century using some of the most basic tools. Over the years, masters have taken the same skill set, using modern technique, to create some of the most elaborate prints possible. Please come out and join us, for this will be an event not to missed.

最近、また趣味が増えてもうて、シルクスクリーンを勉強しだした。自分で刷った新作品はこれや！

…でも切り取るのは面倒臭そうやわぁ！！

つや有のインクとつや無の塩ビシートはポイントや！あまり写真に写られない味やから残念やけど。

もちろん、次のデザインを考えているよ。楽しみにしてぇぇ！

DIY ethic has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As if I didn’t have enough hobbies I decided it was time to fulfill a lifelong dream and begin to study printing in earnest – beginning with silk screening. If you liked the bunny girl art prints, then feast your eyes on these, my latest abominations.

…cutting these out should be a true exercise in patience.

The real charm of these babies is the super shiney oil-like look of the raised ink on the non-shiney matte surface. Pure printing press pr0n! Too bad the photo doesn’t do it justice. I’ll be slicing these out over the next week – come and get em!

Of course I’m already planning the next design! I can sleep when I die. Stay tuned!

うっわ！最近、シャッターの調子が悪くて、おとついにまたトラブルが起こった！鍵のおっちゃんを呼ばんと入らへんと。いろんな道具がだされたが１時間たっても全然開けられへんかったわ！
The shop shutter is really sticky lately, so we had to call the key guy. He busted out at least 20 different tools, but an hour later the shutter was still stuck.

なんでか知らんけど、道具を持たされたキョンキチの嫌がっている表情がオモロいわ！
写真はないねんけど途中でおっちゃんの手が中からシャッターに挟まれて、そのままで開けようとして、「痛ぇててててて！！！」と叫んでいた声。笑っちゃあけんと思いながら…御免なおっちゃん。ご苦労様！

（そろそろビデオカメラを買っとかんと、ほんまに！）

Eventually Kyon was made to help – and I couldn’t resist this great expression captured on the ol’ phone cam. Too bad I didn’t get a snap of cap’n key getting his hand caught in the mail slot as he tried lifting up the shutter, yelling “owowoowowow!”… Hey Hey! Stop laughing! It’s not funny!

(I really need to get a video camera)
