INKSPOT 1977から帰って来たとこ。アートやグラフ好きが多くてめっちゃえぇパーティやったわ。
Just got back from Ink Spot a few hours ago… the party raged all through the night. At some point I think every level of the downtown building was balls-to-butts with wall-art aficionados.

ギャラリー現場はすごい感じやった。コラボの新作、新しい材料の実験、作品になりかけDJブースも本当にイベントのプラスになっていた。
CASPER, JOTA, KE-1, ZYS were all in rare form at the reception. New collaborations, material experimentation, and even a DJ booth that doubled as an installation really punctuated an already talent-packed show.

お知らせ：先週、僕はやっとSLRのカメラをゲットしたんで色々実験して撮ってみたんだが…機会の動きに全然慣れていなくて上手く撮れなくて申し訳ないが。よろしキュ！
Full disclosure: I finally got an SLR this week so all these photos are the result of an amateur masquerading as a pro.

DJブースにダミーカメラが付いていて、ちゃんと動いていてえぇ雰囲気やった！
The DJ booth was fashioned out of pipes, corregated cardboard, and foliage to mimic a typical Osakan abandoned lot. Littered with tags and complete with a moving dummy camera – they really nailed it! The booth filled the whole rear of the room and really made the environment.

A delightful new T-shirt design produced by Nattsu from Chop Honten! The characters were designed by her and then combined with the sensibilities of Horie’s retro-fashion monster, Super Resque! Ah, the cover of KajiKaji fashion – how nostalgic!!!

アメ村のピザ・カフェのSLICESにてギャラリーを行なってる！今回はタトゥーの写真、いろんなジャンルの作品をだしてみてる！１０月２７日のHalloweenイベントが終わってからかるくオープンした。来月（１１月）の２７日までしてるので是非遊びに来て！１１月１０日は「2回目のオープニングパーティ」なので、Halloweenの時行けなかった人はまだまだ見る機会があるよ！セカンドパーティの為、新作品を追加するのでお楽しみに！

Beginning on Halloween party night after all those events on October 27th, I opened a small art gallery at Slices Cafe in Amemura! Lots of tattoo photos and (as the flyer sez) “works in various mediums” this time around. For those who missed the fun the first time around we’ll be having a second opening on the 10th of November featuring a few new pieces – you’ve got until November 27th to come on down so don’t miss it!

相変わらずミナミのHalloweenイベントが多すぎて、楽しすぎたけどOnziemeで行なったHijakのHalloweenパーティはやっぱり最高だった！マスカレードスタイルなのでゲストの全員は顔が見えないようにマスクをかけていた。めっちゃおもてぇぃ〜。今年は何故か女装無しで、みんなすみません！

Minami was chock full of crazy parties and events as is typical fare for Osaka – but the Hijak party topped them all! Everything was masquerade style so there was plenty of opportunity for pranking and mischief. Look at this heavy freaking thing I walked around with all night! And what’s that you say? No more dresses? Yep, despite winning several contests over the past few years I decided to hang up the skirts and go relax in manly fashion. Nobody seemed all that disappointed!

今年、久しぶりにイベントにでて、ライブペイントをした！ステージの上にのっていたのにめっちゃ暗くて全く見えなかった！なんとなく「髑髏」を描けた気がするけど。あまり厳しく言わんといてな。

My first “live painting” gig in a couple months. Despite being on stage it was super dark so I stuck with familiar subject matter (oh human skull, is there any drawing you can’t save?)

まだまだ先やけど日本全国の女の子の為、雛祭りの生け花を作った！(地球の温暖化のせいで今年の花は早く咲いてぷ〜！)桃の枝とカーネーションを組み合わせて、めっちゃかわいい！人形さんもおったらええのになぁ。花は最高すぎ！もっと勉強しなきゃ。

Ok, jumping the gun a little this year, but here’s a Girl’s Day flower arrangement. (Blame global warming for the early blooming!)Peach blossoms and carnations for girls all over Japan! A cute standing arrangement adds a little spring mood to the shop. Flowers are amazing – there’s so much more left to study!

そういえば、姫っぽいの不良ロリータちゃんが挨拶しにきた！（もしかして、大分前からのベン女装ファン？！）あぁぁ、これは若さやな。最近の子は昔の歌舞伎みたいにハデな服装着たり、ウアイルドな髪型したりしてかっこいい。（うぅゎ、ヤバい！今のジャージを着てる僕の言った事はめっちゃオッチャん臭くない！？）

Speaking of princesses, 2 hooligan goth lolitas dropped by the shop to say “hey!” Could they possibly be the ancient entourage of the legendary Princess Black Lung? Seeing Japanese youth fashion reminds me of old Kabuki, what with the wild clothes and exaggerated hair… (shit, I just sounded really old, didn’t I?)

Happy Girl’s Day! (The devil himself couldn’t invent a better holiday!)

今日、ヤンキーロリータちゃんが見学しにきた！ビール飲んだり、タバコ吸ったり、うんこ座りしたり、この二人によると、ひらひらな服を着ているのにタバコや酒もロリータちゃんの趣味に含まれている。一般なゴスロリは恥ずかしがりやじゃなくて、逆にタフや！やっぱり毎日、こんな姿をしてアメ村にまわったら、ガッツがないとな！下妻物語を見たら分かるとおもうで。

Yankee Lolitas! According to these beer swilling, tobacco smoking, tough-girl posturing young ladies, the frilly clothes are all a facade and that Lolitas are carved out of steel. I guess the typical lolita would have to be to walk around Amemura all day getting gawked at by fellow fashion aficionados. Check out “Shimotsuma Monogatari” that I blogged about a billion years ago (hear there is an English release soon called (groan) Kamikaze Girls) Will sloppy American lolitas followings spring up in response… nah.

たまに写真家に声をかけられていて、撮影に参加させられている。全然かまわへんけど現像したら送ってねと必ず言う。今回は写真のプリントだけじゃなくて、Tシャツも持って来てくれた。でもよく見たらのっている写真は裸の俺や！恥ずかしいぃ！自分で着るのは可笑しい…っす…よね。おかんに送ろっか？

So as a heavily tattooed gaijin, often in drag, I get stopped for the occasional photo op. Usually I say yes in exchange for developed photos. This time, I was brought a T-shirt… featuring me. Naked. Wow… could this be something so embarrassing even a hard M like me couldn’t possibly wear it? I wonder if it would fit my mom…

三ヶ月間以内、２度ものったカジカジや〜。でも今度は確実にジョンさんとジェシカちゃんの力で。まさか俺の日常ジャージはファッション？！ジョンはチョップのパーカーのほうがかっこいい、絶対（残念ながらもう売り切れ！）

For the 2nd time in 3 months, I am in Kaji Kaji. Again. This time on a full page. Could it be that my beat-up Adidas (All Day I Dream About Sex) jersey is high fashion?! Jon’s Chopstick Hoodie is better by a long shot (sold out if you missed your chance!) If only they had cropped me out and sparred impressionable young readers.

Oh yeah! Kiwa in my favorite women’s fashion of all time! This made me happy for the rest of the day – but maybe I shamelessly took a few too many photos – I’m sorry! Can you please forgive me just this once? Sigh, if only today’s fashion more closely resembled that of the American 1990s… Women of Osaka, I’m counting on you!

Nooo!!! Ton beat me to the punch with his blog post!!! Oh well, I’m not wasting this great picture. Hardy-wear is all over America mura’s window fronts and patrons. At Chop everybody is a fashion leader in one way or another, and Ton is no exception!… besides, the brim of the hat does a lovely job of concealing the Ao-jiru-induced expression on his face. C’mon, it tastes just like green tea… and sweaty human skin!
