How psyched was I to reconnect with this guy! An old friend from the Tokyo hard core scene, Imazato! (Struggle For Pride) I don’t think I’ve seen the man in like 5 years, but he was down doin’ a show at King Cobra – so of course we had to make some time for tattoos! The last time I saw him, I think I was still scrubbing toilets at the first shop with my tongue! If you wanna know what the hardcore scene in Japan has to offer then you owe it to yourself to check out SFP!

The Koz-man cometh! And he cometh baring machines of war!! From Kozuru‘s Kustom Factory in West-side Osaka in Nishi-kujo come his latest creation – custom rotary machines! Ah… there’s nothing quite like tattoo machine pr0n,… except for maybe posting sexy pictures of it on the Intertubes!

ヴァイスグリップの先っぽは大日本帝国の銭！ボディーは鉄で、チューブのグリップはアルミ！モーターのカバーは虎のモチーフ、昭和レトロのマッチのデザイン！
The vice grip is capped with pre-WW2 Dainipponteikokku coin and the motor is wrapped in antique Japanese matchbook cover! The simple construction is the real point – Iron plate frame and aluminum vice grip.

My first tattoo in like 2 years – by Naoki of TNS in Settsu City! (AKA – The Giant Tree!) It’s chock full of reference to my strange and unusual hobbies!

BME（ボディー・モディフィケーション・eジーン）が来日！！新しい日本人彫師の特集の為、取材しにきてくれた。いろんなタトゥースタジオに廻って、彫師さんのインタビューを撮っていた。そして先週、堀江店に来店してくれた！
BME is in town shooting for some new features on tattooists in Japan and were kind enough to drop by the Horie shop.

スタジオは少しせまくてこんなに人パンパン入ってきたら動くはちょっと難しかった！
Not much wiggle room in the studio with the entire crew inside, but we managed.
