久々に師匠とハードコアのイベントにいってきた、ミナミのSUNSUIに。MASTERPIECEのライブはめっちゃやばかった！！iPhoneしかなかったができるだけ写真を撮ろうとした。さぁ、以下へ！
Caught the first half of a great Osaka hardcore show at Sunsui a couple days ago. Masterpiece was on tap as well as some of the craziest experimental HC I’ve seen in a long time – felt like being a kid again! Anyway, there was also a lot of artwork on display, which is why I’m posting. Obzoiv!

モンクさんはライブでピンストをやっていたぁ！（去年、僕のiPhoneにめっちゃやばい般若のモチーフを描いてくれたピンスト達人）新作品はこのヘルメット達！やばない？僕、バイク乗れたらいいのになぁ。
Remember the pin striper MONK who pimped out my phone with that pinstriped hanya? Well, he was back at this event with some sick new helmets! Makes me wish I rode a something just so I could don it.

いろんな人の絵が飾っていた！バテリーがなくなる前、これぐらい撮れた！かっこいいスケボ何枚もおいてあったが近く撮れなかった – 残念！
Finally, the best shot I could grab in the dark of the contributed artworks. There were also a bunch of skate decks by DISE and CASPER that sadly I couldn’t get near enough to photograph before my battery died. But rumor has it they got bought up for release from a certain undisclosed board manufacturer later this year! Stay tuned…

HELL CITYに参加する事に決定！（Hell City 9 – オハイオ州）そして、少し更新した、HP。
No, it’s not the name of a GTA4 mission, I really am goin’ to Hell City this year! Specifically, Hell City 9 in Columbus Ohio, USA. For good measure, I made a couple quick updates today.

まず参加するイベント、展示等をバイオページに足した。
First of all, I decided to stick up my event schedule on the Bio page.

Of course, the real appeal of any convenient store trinkets isn’t the candy inside, but the toys and cards!

「優しくあけてね」と書いてあるけど…びりびり破ってから気付いた僕。レイちゃんの頑張って作ったチョコは美味しかったが…正直あんまり手作りっぽくなかった。
“Open me softly” written on the wrapper… which I noticed after shredding the chocolate wrapper open with my bad teeth. Delicious, but didn’t look like she slaved over it for hours in the kitchen.

そして偶然やけど後でSUNKUSにいって、ミラクルくじ引きを！！A賞をとったぁっぁあぁぁぁあ！！なんで？！めっちゃラッキー！！
But what’s this? No lie, I go to Sunkus for a coffee and on a whim buy one of those ‘lucky draw’ tickets and I won this awesome figure! Miracles happen every day, and this one… this one was mine.

Got to see Magoshi get some head-tebori! A real snake-head! (by Toshi in Ikebukuro)

TACOCHEという珍しい本ばっか置いてある本屋さんにいって、大好きな先生の画集がおいてあったわぁ！丸尾末広とコラボしたシールは売切で残念やったけど。
A random trip to a shop of random tomes, Tacoche led to this lovely discovery of a favorite artist of mine! Too bad all their Maruo collaboration stickers were sold out. うるうるうる！

東京ならやっぱり靖国神社！！天皇陛下万歳ぃぃぃ！
What trip to Tokyo would be complete without a trip to the Yasukuni Jinja! Got some Yasukuni cherry blossoms encased in glass – awesome!!

麒麟のデザインがのっているでっかぃぃ提灯が靖国の前にある！
On the way out is this great lantern with 8 unique Kirin reliefs. I snapped them all!

HPは壊れていたらしくて…問合せフォームが凍っていたり、ギャラリーが見えなかったり…全然気付かなかった！！申し訳ない。今日、大分修理したのでこれからよろしくどうぞ！！
I guess a bunch of shit was broken on this site for like, weeks. The contact form, the image gallery – basically anything you might actually want to see. Sorry! I fixed everything today… nominally anyway. If you couldn’t get ahold of me try again with the magic of disabled-AJAX!

日本に十年間ぐらい住んでいるのに富士山の写真を上手く撮るのは初めてや！
In the 10 years of living in Japan, I’ve finally managed to get a shot of Mt. Fuji from the shinkansen!

あれ？くそ！関東と関西の間にはトンネルなんか多ぃわ！
Whu? Sunuvabich! There’s a lot of tunnels between here and Kanto.

なんでかこういうミニポスターのやつをおもっきり忘れちゃった！知らしとほぼ一緒やけどもっと人が壁に貼りたいぐらい、絵っぽく描いてみました。まだまだ実験中や。最近の絵はこれ。
I totally forgot about mini posters for some reason. They’re really just flyers, but I’ve been experimenting with ways of making them something you might actually hang on to – or even hang up on your wall, locker, inner coffin lid, etc. So for the first time in a long time, here’s an image of my latest abomination.
